Ideas For Home Decoration Using Candles

Decorating the home with candles is not a new thing; it has existed for thousands of years. Apart from the usual fact that candles bring brightness and light into the home, they are also elements of serious interior decoration. When properly organized, they can add beauty, elegance and style to your home. They can also add extra value to other decorating items like your wallpapers, canvass and metal arts, flowers and use of colors. The advantage of candles in decoration is that you don't need to buy them if you can't afford it. You can get supplies to make them yourself using free and available instructions. You also have a wide variety candle wax, moulds, color, wax, additives and making kits to choose from; giving you unlimited decoration and style freedom.

Using monochrome candles

With monochrome candles you can take candles of different sizes but similar colors and put them at a point location. You can set them with ceramic or crystal plate in the middle and surround them with a collection of decorative glass stones for added style. To create a streamline look you can line white identical candles down a mantle, in a row. Turn you entire room into a candle heaven by putting identical candles of similar color, size and shape in every part of your room where space is available. Objects like the mirror in your house are an avenue to do something unique. You can arrange them either on top or in front of your mirror to reflect their light and glowing warmth.

Using multicolor candles

Use colored candles by placing them neatly on top of distressed wood which you have hanged on the wall. For bathroom decoration you can float colored candles in the tub of the guests' bathroom, or place them in a big bowl with flowers petals to add to the flair. You can also turn your large colored candles into artworks by using stencils to creative beautiful designs on them. After your design, you can then add some glass beads or any other embellishment.

Using candle holders

There are different kinds of candle holders you can use for your home interior decoration but the simple ones like metal, ceramic, wood, glass and mosaics are the favorites and most used. Wood is an excellent holder because it blends with all types of interiors décor; from traditional to modern. Fired ceramic are a good option for those who love shadows and natural feelings. With glass candles holders there is nothing you can't do or achieve. This is because glass is transparent, simple and they come in different shapes in sizes. You can fill tall fancy wine glass with nuts or dried berries, put a tealight candle on the top and use it to decorate your dinner table. Candles placed on short glass holders can be used decorate a mantle or bookshelf. Metal holders can be used at corners or on the table with candles of different sizes placed on them.

Decoration options are endless, but you can actually provide excellent décor with these tips. In addition, you can also make use of candle rings made from different material e.g. beads, excellent for both occasional and everyday designs. Your candle wicks, fragrance and oils are additional features that will make your home candle decoration something the neighbors will be talking about.
